Bespoke Spaces, Impeccably Managed Process
Creating spaces that honor every client’s story, streamlining the experience and redefining what it means to truly love home is our driving philosophy. Design is more than creating beautiful spaces. We believe it is personal. For us, design is collaborative, curated and comfortable. It is driven not only by the space and its function, but by the people and the lifestyle of those who call it home. This philosophy is further guided by a belief that our clients’ homes should be a reflection of themselves. This perspective has guided The Good Home Interiors & Design since Lisa founded the firm in 2013, evolving through the years into a full service practice. With a strong attention to detail, and a particular enthusiasm for organization and project management, Lisa takes a hands on approach with clients from the the initial intake call to the final reveal. Our goal is to remove friction in the process. As a single point of contact, we streamline the process from the client perspective.
We realize that working with a design firm is an investment and we honor that philosophy by striving to create a home that is simply our client’s favorite place to be!
A Team You Can Trust

Lisa
Principal Designer & Owner
-
Inspired to create spaces that fundamentally transform lives, Lisa started The Good Home – an award-winning boutique design firm – in 2013. Prior to opening The Good Home, Lisa worked at some of Maine’s premiere home furnishing stores as a buyer, merchandiser and in-house design consultant for her clients.
Lisa has long held that a client’s home should be a true reflection of who they are, a belief shaped by her upbringing, the daughter of a carpenter and granddaughter of a Western New York homebuilder. Renovation and design are in her blood.
Lisa’s work has been featured in numerous publications, including Architectural Digest, Décor Maine and regional publications, in addition to design work featured in two designer showcases in Portland. Her work has been recognized for Lisa’s thoughtful designs, focus on functionality and ability to reimagine storied spaces for their next chapter.
Lisa and her husband Clark live in Gorham. They enjoy precious time spent with their daughter, son and daughter-in-law, exploring Maine’s beautiful coast, or at their camp in central Maine.
